| Cloud Computing |
Computing "In the Cloud." Simply put, operating your software occurs somewhere on the Internet rather than at your own computer. This is another term for SaaS.

A Content Management System allows you to easily publish content on a website without knowledge of programming languages. It also keeps track of your images, users, etc.

Abbreviated CMS, a content management system allows you to easily publish content on a website without knowledge of programming languages. It also keeps track of your images, users, etc.

| cross-browser compliant |
Different browsers (for example, Firefox, Safari, and Internet Explorer) will display web pages differently. Usually the difference is slight. Cross-browser compliance means that web pages are built to display well in different browsers.

| Domain Name |
A name that identifies a website, such as Yahoo.com or MissionTechnologies.org.

| GB |
Gigabyte - 1 billion bytes. A way of measuring storage space. To put it in perspective, 1GB will hold about 560 MP3 files.

| Groupware |
Software for sharing access to calendars, address books, files, and more between members of an organization. Makes productivity soar, especially for busy organizations whose members are constantly on the go.

An open-source operating system that is stable, reliable, and has become very easy to use in recent years. It's what's on the computers we use to run our business.

| Open-Source Software |
Free (as in beer) software. Much open source software can also be used at no cost. The code (nuts and bolts) of what makes the software work is freely available to, and editable by, the public at large. Point-of-Sale. A comprehensive system for tracking inventory, sales, etc.

| RAM |
Random Access Memory (RAM) provides space for your computer to read and write data to be accessed by the CPU (central processing unit). When people refer to a computer's memory, they usually mean its RAM.

Software as a Service - Software that is accessed remotely via the Internet rather than locally off your own computer. There are a myriad of advantages - Nothing to install, anytime/anywhere availability, no licensing fees, and no maintenance worries, to name a few.
